Bipolar disorder is a severe mental disorder. Impulsivity is an important clinical symptom of bipolar disorder， but its neurological mechanism is still unclear. This paper summarizes the research progress of impulsivity in bipolar disorder from the aspects of clinical factors， event-related potentials， brain imaging， neurotransmitters and genes， and explores the future research directions of impulsivity in bipolar disorder.
