Vascular parkinsonism（ VP） is a common parkinsonism， in which the main clinical manifestation is known as lower-body parkinsonism and vascular lesions from the neuroimaging. With the rapid development of conventional magnetic resonance imaging and functional MRI today， MRI has played a considerable role in the etiology research and diagnosis of VP. The existing techniques of MRI are reviewed in this paper.
