In order to further deepen the reform of the medical and health system and improve the ability of community mental health service， a mental health medical alliance was established in Chaoyang District with the integration of tertiary psychiatric hospital in Beijing and psychiatric hospitals and psychiatric department in general hospital in Chaoyang District. A psychiatric liaison consultation center was set up which condense the resources of the psychiatric experts in Beijing to provide high level professional technical support. Psychiatric departments are set up in all community medical institutions within the jurisdiction to provide convenient and accessible psychiatric services for patients and to promote the training of community mental health professionals.
