Abstract:Parkinson disease is a neurodegenerative disorder. Dysarthria and cognitive impairment are common motor and non-motor symptoms of Parkinson disease. Recent studies have found that dysarthria may be closely linked to cognitive impairments in Parkinson disease. This paper reviews recent research on the correlation between the two, covering risk factors, pathogenesis, treatment, and nursing, with the aim of providing reference for clinical diagnosis, treatment, and practice.
