To explore the biological indicators of depression has always been a hot research topic. Eye movement tracking technology has been used to study mood regulation， emotional information processing and mental movement disorders in patients with depression. This paper mainly reviews the application of exploratory eye movement， saccadic eye movements and free-view task in depression assessment， as well as its possible value in clinical practice， and discusses the future research direction.
