Bipolar disorder is a severe and highly crippling mental disorder with a high suicide rate. In recent years， many studies have shown that gene methylation is associated with suicidal ideation in patients with bipolar disorder. In this paper， the recent studies on the relationship between suicidal ideation and gene methylation in patients with bipolar disorder were summarized.
